Description
Looking for an escape into an urban paranormal world with magic and ghosts? You're in the right place. Found family, strong main characters, suspense, and humor.
Yoska
Settle down, I don't think so.
I'm someone's heir?! Since my family is dead, that's shady. Real shady.
Come to find out, I've inherited the ugliest, smelliest apartment complex, ever.
When the realtor shows up with some buyers who have judgmental, predator eyes, I know this is not going to be an easy sell.
I dodge ugly dog statue, scent, and stain questions like a pro. But things turn south at the moans coming from apt #7, the ghosts playing around in the stairwell, an idiot yelling through Cookie Maker's door, and the fight that involves a sharp stiletto heel to the *ss and pepper spray.
I've been stuck here for a while and I'm starting to get pulled in by this ever-present vortex of jarring insanity.
Then one letter changes my world. It's scary how a simple piece of paper can punch you in the heart and tip your world upside down.

5 STARS "A phenomenal and gripping read that will hook you from the first page. The personality of Yoska Draper really erupts from the page, instantly gripping the reader's attention.
There isn't a single character that wasn't vibrant and unique. I loved Draper's personality, loved how his character was so intense, and watching him grow and change as he spends time in the converted mansion was executed brilliantly.
Monstrosity: Apartment Complex On Deadman Lane episodes 1-8 by K J Walt is expertly written and flows beautifully. It was nothing short of outstanding." K.J. Simmill for Readers Favorite and Goodreads
5 STARS "K J Walt gives the world a masterclass in the art of comedy with Monstrosity: Apartment Complex on Deadman Lane. Both the narrative and dialogue are hilarious, wildly acerbic, and weirdly authentic. That last bit is down to the characters being so well developed that everything that comes out of their mouths is believable... Well done. Very well done. Highly recommended." 5 STARS "Monstrosity was a fun read for me as the comedy was pure gold. K.J. Walt had me in stitches throughout her book. The author really knows her stuff when it comes to comedy and I don't believe I've come across a book this funny before or even a film, for that matter.
The characters were great, and each was lovable, funny, and just perfect in every way. Their backstories were genuinely interesting, and my opinion of them changed greatly as I read the book.
It's not often that I get so attached to characters but whilst reading I couldn't help but care for each one. There were absolutely no weak links as each member of the cast was well-written.
This book is sure to stay with me. Thank you, K. J. Walt, for having written this marvelous tale. I'd recommend it to readers that love books with a healthy dose of comedy." Nicholus Schroeder for Readers' Favorite
