Isy the Magic Dinosaur's little brother Alex was feeling down as, unlike everyone else, he didn't have any magic powers yet.

In order to cheer him up, Isy and her cousins Ben, Josh and Sophia decide to take Alex on a relaxing fishing trip. However, when disaster strikes, Alex finds himself alone in the jungle and being hunted by a gang of ice cream obsessed sabre-toothed tigers.

Alex the non-magic dinosaur must prove to himself that he doesn't need magic to evade the sabre-toothed tigers long enough for Isy, Ben, Josh and Sophia to find him and get back home before bedtime.

Targeted at children aged 4-7, this is the third in a series of short stories about Isy the Magic Dinosaur which promotes teamwork and friendship in a magical fantasy setting.

About the author:

Gareth George was once asked by his daughter if he could read her a bedtime story about magic dinosaurs.

He didn't have any stories about magic dinosaurs.

So he wrote The Great Chocolate Cake Race and The Christmas Mystery for her.

As he didn't want her baby brother to feel left out, he wrote Alex's Big Adventure for his son.
