Description

The Oração da Emparedada (or Empardeada), also known as "Prayer of the Walled-Off Woman", promised the catholic faithful many miracles to whoever prayed it every day. For this reason it was forbidden by the Inquisition in the XVI century. It was later found in 1992 in the so-called "Library of Barcarrota", and so this prayer is here presented in an English translation with brief explanatory notes.

Is it really able to cause all those miracles that were once attributed to it? That's an answer for the reader...
