The Galaxy is at war once again.
Despite the best efforts of many to avoid new conflict, the Galactic Alliance, still struggling to integrate its recent enemies, finds itself facing down the massive, monolithic, and aggressive Revittan Empire.
Against his wishes, High Executor Darkclaw finds himself once again leading a war, but this time to protect his friends and allies -- both old and new -- while Grand Admiral Nayasar copes with fighting alongside former foes -- people she still does not completely trust -- in the face of a greater threat.
Meanwhile, deep within the Revittan Empire, things are in motion as well. Ayil Lotyk, a former small time criminal, finds herself thrust wholesale into the middle of a conflict well above her pay grade--but she finds, to her own surprise, that she wants to see it through to the end.
Elsewhere, others, in higher positions within the Empire, are asking questions about this damaging war they were suddenly thrust into, and their decisions will shape the future of both the Revittan Empire, and the Galaxy at large.
The galaxy is aflame once again, and things will never be the same.
The Galaxy Ascendant series becomes truly galactic in scope as the story continues to expand, with heroes and villains both new and old making their marks upon the galaxy.
