Description
Years from now, what if there were different leaders in Washington, Moscow and Tehran - and Iran struck first?
"Good Tom Clancy-Type Thriller!- Fans of military fiction will love the detailed descriptions of tanks, drones, and warheads. But fans of political thrillers will enjoy the pacing and the story. It reads like a Tom Clancy novel, in that there are numerous characters and lots of moving parts. However, unlike Clancy, there are no side-plots that take a tangent to nowhere. Every person and event described in the book leads directly to the main plot, making this a pretty quick, concise read. I highly recommend this book, especially if you're curious about military fiction."
"Outstanding and Believable!- Excellent combination of spies, military, and politics! I loved the characters and their back stories. Speaking from the point of view of a retired military officer, the author seems to have a fairly good grip on the tactics employed by spies, the military, and politicians. Overall, the plot was very good and plausible, the characters engaging and realistic, and the story moved at a pace that kept me up most of the night reading. This is one of the best books I have read in quite a while."
"Globally Written, Intelligently Researched- The author has done an outstanding job of exploring vastly different cultures and weaving the military tactics into those variations, waking the reader to underlying issues in a part of the world we rarely give much thought to until a seemingly random flare-up attracts our attention. Realistic, gritty action sequences with well-researched military weaponry, complex, identifiable human issues/behavior, and a thorough explanation of those politics make this a truly believable -and potentially possible- scenario of world interaction in what would originate as a fist fight between countries we don't often think about."
"So Good I Just Ordered His Most Recent In This Series- Well written. Fast paced. The author demonstrates tremendous knowledge of world affairs, military weaponry, and tactics. I started reading the second in the series the same evening that I finished the first, and pre-ordered #3 in the series as soon as I became aware of it. Anxious to start that soon! Highly recommend the author."
Iran's new ruler, Grand Ayatollah Reza Fagheh, will use three experimental nuclear weapons, VX, and two armored forces driving on Riyadh to overthrow the Saudi monarchy.
Two Russians have been sent to do what they can to stop the conflict, mostly because they were lucky enough to avert nuclear war in a previous mission. FSB Colonel Alexei Vasilyev and senior Vladivostok homicide detective Anatoly Grishkov both agree that a general war in the Middle East would be a disaster for Russia that must be avoided.
And both have the uneasy feeling that success, if it can be achieved at all, will come at a high cost.
Technical Sgt. Josh Pettigrew had never heard of the United States Military Training Mission to Saudi Arabia. Funded by profits from U.S. military sales to Saudi Arabia, USMTM provided hands-on training for Saudi soldiers operating the new equipment.
Including the latest armed drones. Ones that could make the difference in the war ahead.
The final exam for Pettigrew's students will be "pass/fail."
