Description
This book is a compendium to another book:
The Qur'an: A Concise Literary English Translation
There are those who would say with vehemence that the Qur'an is not from God and that there is nothing in the Bible that foreshadows the advent of Islam, but that simply is not true.
The African mother of the Arabs, Hager, is the only woman in the Bible visited by an angel of the Lord to be told that she would be the mother of a great nation. Thereafter Hager is the only person in the Bible (Genesis 16:13) to afford God a name: El Roy, which means God sees me.
Moreover Abraham and Hager's son, Ishmael, is the only Biblical nation with God in the name at birth. The mother city of the Ishmaelites is Baca, which is presently known as Mecca.
Of all the nations mentioned in the Bible, there are only two nations that have the word, El, which means God in Hebrew, in their name: Ishmael and Israel.
Abraham's eldest son was named at birth, Ishmael, which means one who listens to God. It should be noted that when God's Word was revealed in the Qur'an to the descendants of Ishmael, they listened and took heed despite the fact that the prophet Mohammed did not perform a single miracle.
Uniquely, Islam employs God's word as a call to prayer. In the Arab world, listening to God's word is something that cannot be avoided unless one is deaf.
People today are so indoctrinated with modern cultural myths, when it comes to reading an ancient book such as the Qur'an, they are often completely bewildered by certain stories. With this compendium, I provide an elaboration of my translation of the Qur'an that should answer questions that have vexed the many.
