Description
Bath, 1811
Mrs Thornton has finally succeeded in making her youngest daughter, Sophia, more ladylike and a trip to Bath might be just the place to find her a husband. Sophia, however, has no inclination to marry. Still, Bath offers an escape from her small, uneventful village, as well as the great promise of adventure. She is certain she'll leave as unattached as she came but the arrival of a certain gentleman throws all her emotions into disarray.
When Henry, the handsome heir of the wealthy and distinguished Greenwood family, reluctantly leaves London to join his parents in Bath the last thing he is looking for is to fall in love. But his sisters have made a new friend. While Sophia is not the type to attract his attention, further acquaintance soon introduces him to her hidden charms.
But the conclusion of the winter season threatens to part them and what started out as a benign adventure might just end in disgrace.
A traditional Regency romance for fans of Jane Austen.
