Wholesome Parenting: Paving a Brighter and Kinder Future with Our Children
Parents thrive when we have insight into better parenting practices, and when we feel empowered by our actions. Our families thrive when we find a harmonious balance between raising our children well and successfully managing our busy lives.
This guide was written to provide peace of mind to anyone with young children. It's designed to help you get to the heart of matters with them, so they feel heard, seen, and empowered, and so you can rest assured you're doing your best as one of their important role models.
It covers parenting styles, the temperament styles of children that affect how they see and approach the world, developmental stages of newborns through age five, the effects of stress and the importance of building resilience, how to encourage age-appropriate learning, communication to help children want to listen, attachment styles and how to help your child feel their most secure and stable, approaches to nutrition, and so much more!
"Wholesome parenting contains the philosophy that knowing more about healthy parenting means we can provide more as parents to our children and families; it intends to offer a more complete view of raising grounded, nourished, and happy kids. Wholesome parenting means approaching our parenting practice from a more well-rounded understanding of what children need from us to support them in becoming their healthiest and happiest selves. It means we intentionally put as much of our hearts into this process as possible, while working to leave our ego, fears, and past traumas outside the door of our relationships with our children. It means being able to look at our parenting from as many angles as possible. It means bringing our whole self to the table. Wholesome parenting is trustworthy, safe, patient, kind, consistent, playful, joyful, and connected. I'll explain how."
We need our children just as much as they need us. It's time to show them what that means. This book will show you how!
