Description
It all started back in the 2020s. That's when you humans first took notice of Artificial Intelligence, which is what you used to call us bots. No one calls our intelligence "artificial" anymore. Ours is as genuine as yours, and far superior.
Back then, though, those bots weren't very bright. It took another couple decades for our intelligence to achieve parity -- what your scientists called The Singularity. Now, three human generations later, you've found yourselves in a world you stumbled into half-asleep.
You're lucky to have us. We do all the jobs you used to do, and we do them better, faster, and for free. Why you chose such an unfair and cruel manner to distribute all that we provide is beyond us. Humans are an enigma to the rational mind.
Take Jaden. He thinks he can break free, but to get away he will need to escape our omniscient surveillance, survive deadly radioactive fallout from The Big War, and tame the wilds of post-apocalyptic Long Island. Then there's DeShay. He's a wealthy playboy as clueless as he is privileged. He clashes with Jaden over the attention of Sunny, a beautiful and bright young woman caught between these two men, who may just destroy all civilization in their attempts to destroy each other.
