Description
What would you do if you came face to face with someone from your past and they deny knowing you? What would you do if that person in their haste to get away from you runs into the road and is hit by a car. What would you do if while holding the person she offers a deathbed confession. This is exactly what happened to Sarah Reed, a schoolteacher, single mother of twin nine year olds, and lifelong resident of Gloucester, Massachusetts.
Surprised that deathbed confessions are acceptable in court, Sarah is soon swept up into a major federal investigation because of what she heard in the woman's dying breath. Sarah's life had been perfect. Well, maybe not perfect but at least comfortable. Everything was now different. She had been comfortable as a widow without any emotional attachments and now all that had changed. The Feds wanted to protect her even if it meant going into a witness program. Dan wanted to love her but seven, lonely male less years had created some a well-used blockade to romance.
The deathbed confession provided critical information on an old crime that was never brought to trial because the key witness disappeared. Sarah gets unwillingly pulled into the crime which ends up changing her life in many ways. In spite of the traumatic issues she manages to find love for the first time in many years. This romantic mystery has something for everyone
