Description
"Ranson's Folly", one of the best stories written by American author Richard Harding Davis in 1904, tells the story of the audacious, dare-devil exploits of a junior officer in the U.S. Army. His position and influence secure a lieutenancy in a Western post. The monotony of the life there and its regularity finally drive him into the folly of donning the disguise of a band of notorious highwaymen, and holding up the public coach.
"Ranson's Folly" is also the title story in a collection of novellas which includes the well-known: The Bar Sinister; A Derelict; La Lettre D'Amour; and, In The Fog.
