Description
Three dead astronauts. And a traitor who will stop at nothing to control humanity's greatest discovery.
When the first human mission to Mars ended in tragedy, NASA vowed to do better. Now, after years of preparation, Expedition Two is ready to establish humanity's first permanent settlement on the Red Planet. But for mission specialist Georgia Pyke, landing on Mars is just the beginning of a nightmare.
As the crew works to build their base in the vast Hellas Planitia crater, Georgia makes an extraordinary discovery - one that could change the course of human history. But there are those who would kill to keep such revelations hidden. When a crew member turns traitor and several others die in suspicious circumstances, Georgia finds herself in a desperate race against time. Not only must she expose the truth, she has to survive long enough to prevent an international crisis that could doom humanity's future in space.
Set in the near future, Discovery combines rigorous science with pulse-pounding action and complex characters. From explosive decompression to desperate fights in the thin Martian atmosphere, Discovery delivers non-stop action and high-stakes survival on the Red Planet.
This gripping story of humanity's first steps toward becoming a multi-planetary species will appeal to readers of Andy Weir's The Martian and James S.A. Corey's The Expanse series. Perfect for fans of hard science fiction who enjoy realistic space exploration mixed with conspiracy and first contact themes.

About the Mars Frontier series
This sci-fi series sets out humanity's early attempts to build a colony on Mars. The science included in my books is (largely) conceivable based on current technology and what is being researched by government organisations such as NASA and ESA as well as private companies such as Blue Origin, SpaceX and Boeing. In other words, what's technically possible with either current technology or taking experimental research a step or two further. That said, you won't need to be a rocket scientist to enjoy the story.
