Tinsel Mines is a town that Time forgot. With no industry left to speak of, no political will or money to spare, jobs, progress and hope have all but passed us by.

Most of us love our home town but are kind of stuck by circumstances.

Like me, with my useless degree. And my sick mom, who needs a kidney transplant that we can't afford, even if she had a donor.

I have my job at Jingle Bells Emporium but that barely pays the interest on my college loans. And it sure won't pay my mom's medical bills.

It's shaping up to be another sad and lonely Christmas.

This little old town carries some bittersweet memories for me and my Father.

We keep a homestead here out of love for the place, but we don't return to it much. Most years, the family business keeps us busy travelling the globe.

But this year, Dad decides to help an old friend in town by purchasing his tired, struggling business.

My only mission is to go check the place out and decide what to do with it. Then, I can get back to my life of globe-trotting.

But... I meet a sexy little elf and everything changes.

And maybe life can begin anew, for all of us, here in dusty old Tinsel Mines.
