Alfred and his crew have just completed a lengthy mission on the planet Jared. Just when they think they might catch a break, the Society contacts them with yet another assignment. Upon hearing that a fellow Resolver has gone missing near the lesser-known planet Thear, Al is determined to find the man.
But when they reach this mysterious place, it seems the planet itself has begun to deteriorate and is dying out at an alarming rate. Things escalate when Alfred and Henry get separated from Marcie and Aaron.
Now it's up to Al and his A.I. sidekick to not only locate the missing Resolver, but to find and eliminate the source of devastation on Thear. On this perilous journey, it seems the answers to Alfred's past may be tied in to the future of Thear.
