Charlie and Sally set out for Rome only weeks after his work place was shut down in this 9th book of Traveling the World. Not knowing the Italian language added drama to the trip. They went to the Colosseum and the Forum where the ruins of ancient Rome still stand. They also traveled to Naples and the ruins of Pompeii by train, and were booted out of their seats. One restaurant refused to serve them, and another charged them for what they thought was complimentary. But these are simply intriguing things that happen when American culture encounters European culture. Note: Over 200 photos are included. The kindle edition is in color, and the print edition is in black and white.
