The King James Version is considered to be one of the most popular Bible translations in the history of the bible.

Here is a Basic Timeline of Bibles Published

In 1400 B.C The Ten Commandments were given to Moses. Then in 500 B.C. the Old Testament Hebrew manuscripts were completed.

Later in 200 B.C. the Old Testament and the Apocrypha Greek manuscripts were written. Next in 100 A.D. the New Testament was completed.

Then in 382 A.D. the Latin Vulgate manuscripts were complied.

Next and largest compilation of books, 81 in all, in the year 1384 A.D. the first complete Bible was hand written by John Wycliffe. This large volume consisted of the 66 books of the old and new testaments, plus the 14 books of the apocrypha.

Then came the first printed bible in 1456 A.D. called the Gutenberg Bible, via modern book publishing.

Next came the Geneva Bible written in English in the year 1560 A.D.

Then in the year 1611 A.D. the first King James Bible was completed which King James of England had commissioned.

Next in 1769 A.D. the King James English Version Bible was edited, updated, and greatly improved compared to the 1611 version (which most people are now reading). This is the preferred King James Bible of many.

Then later in the year 1885 A.D. The Apocrypha was removed, which now left only 66 books, of which most readers read, called the Old and New Testaments of the Holy Bible.

Finally in 1947 A.D. The Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered and made for serious validation of the Bible's accuracy.

1982 A.D.: New King James Version published to modernize the English.

Blessings to all who follow the commands of our Heavenly Father and The Son.
