I've been in a sad and awful relationship long enough to know that it isn't worth it. Most of the women I've dated only see the man in the uniform, but never stop to think that the duties behind that uniform make it very hard for the man to come home to them. Coming back from the Air Force didn't change my thoughts on it one bit. Not until... her.
I couldn't believe it, at first, but from the first time I laid eyes on her, I immediately knew that I had to have her. She wasn't like most girls her age. In fact, she was probably the most interesting and responsible woman I had ever met.
But the more I get to know her, the more I start to think that maybe I should give this 'relationship thing' one more try. Maybe she's worth it.
Maybe she's the one I've been waiting for.
