Adam and Maggie are best friends. They agree on everything... almost everything. For the last few months Maggie has gotten really into a video game called Critter Island. In fact just about everyone on their campus is obsessed with Critter Island. Adam feels like he's going insane. He finds the non-existent plot, childish characters, and simplistic graphics puerile in the extreme. He simply can't understand the appeal.

When Maggie finds out that her boyfriend is cheating Adam takes pity on her and agrees to accompany her on a real life Critter Island themed getaway.
