Description
I'm not sure what's worse to lose a parent at a young age and have no recollection of them, or to lose a parent as an adult and remember everything about them. Losing a mother at eighteen is challenging as is trying to find yourself in the world away from home. Grieving your loved one is a process, and no one can tell how you're going to handle it. Not a soul should tell you when you need to be done grieving. Nobody will know how you're feeling unless you tell them. Don't be afraid to communicate what you need during your time of grief or need. Take your time and be kind to yourself along the way.
These poems are to let you know that you're not alone.
