Description

The Great Plague of 1665 was the last major epidemic of plague to strike London, and the best documented. This book contains an abridgement of Daniel Defoe's "A Journal of the Plague Year" followed by summaries and extracts from 23 contemporary writers: doctors, diarists and others. Included are extracts from Pepys's diary and Thomson's description of his dissection of a plague victim.
