Working for Emperor Nero has never been the easiest of jobs at the best of times for palace secretary, Epaphroditus. However, his day is further complicated when the emperor's favourite eunuch, Sporus is kidnapped.
Keen to avoid Imperial displeasure Epaphroditus must hunt down the missing Sporus with the aid of psychopathic slave overseer, Straton who may be more of a murderous hinderance than a help.
Determined to thwart this eunuch retrieval mission is Praetorian Prefect, Nymphidius Sabinus who has sworn to bring Epaphroditus crashing down.
Clearly only one man can triumph in this deadly rivalry.
