Description
Studies in Marxism is a high quality refereed publication. It is published annually. Although, as one might expect, most contributors are left wing, articles from authors of any political point of view are welcome - the only major commitment being to academic quality. Contributors write about quite a wide variety of figures and topics - obviously Marx and Engels, but also Lenin, Stalin, Trotsky, Mao Tse-tung, Louis Althusser, LukacsAnd a wide range of Western Marxists. Contributors also write about issues, for example, the dialectic, the role of the state, class, historical materialism, political economy, the situation in a variety of states. Several of the contributors in this edition are Chinese, and their articles are frequently about the role of Marxism in China. Other contributors discuss such things as Marxism and anarchism, Marxism and literature, Marxism and crime, etc
