"My 8-year-old daughter loved this. This is the first book that my daughter has read that has a character in it with dyslexia just like her. I could really see her thinking and relating to it as we read it together." by Melinda Matthews

------------------------

The art fair is in two weeks! Darcy still isn't done with her masterpiece and reading class is next. What is she going to do? Reading is her hardest class! Follow along as her teacher, Miss Williams, and her friend, Clara, encourage her to keep trying. Does Darcy listen to their advice or does her dyslexia stop her from doing things she loves?

------------------------

This inspiring picture book is a fantastic addition to any classroom or home library. It is perfect for starting conversations to learn more about learning differences at any age.

In the back of the book, there are discussion questions and activity pages. One of the activity pages allows children to draw their feelings about reading.

Abigail initially started writing this story because of the lack of children's books about dyslexia. While she was growing up, she didn't see any representation of dyslexia in a children's book.

As the process of the book continued and the passion got deeper, she and Cecilia decided to create this into a series, understanding that there are so many disabilities that need representation in children's books. That was only the beginning for The Empower Empathy Early Series.
