Description
Wow. I've read quite a few debut thrillers over the past year, and this one holds its own. KT Lyon created such a dark and twisted story, with such intensely fascinating characters and a plot that grabs you from page one.
Newborn Deceit had me loving and hating the protagonist. From a cold selfish girl to a warm loving mother, the writer had me rooting for Freya from start to finish.
Wow. This book was quite the ride. The storyline is very original and the twists kept coming. My biggest regret is that I didn't get to arc read this book so I could scream about how great it is prior to release.
Freya and Stephanie are worlds apart but connected by death; only one of them understands why.
Freya is fiercely independent and lives for her freedom. The only thing she loves more than her freedom to go and do whatever she wants is her Mum. When Freya comes home for a visit to find a strange man living in her Mum's house, she is immediately on the defensive, assuming the man is after her Mum's money. But her Mum has other plans, romantic plans.
When Freya and Nathan end up falling in love and getting married, Freya thinks she has it all. A doting husband, a beautiful home, and the perfect daughter. Nothing could ever happen to shatter her pristine reality. Or so she thought.
Freya finds herself living a deadly lie, leaving herself no choice but to go to lengths she never dreamed of to discover the morbid truth. Don't be quick to judge Freya; how far would you go for innocent babies if every bit of hope depended on you? Sometimes trusting only yourself can be deadly, and Freya rapidly realises deceit is a game best played alone, leaving Stephanie to deal with the aftermath.
Contains some mild adult contents.
