The main purpose of this booklet is to provide an opportunity for students to evaluate their math skills in the areas of Arithmetic, Pre-Algebra, Beginning Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry by completing practice tests. Additionally, there is a short test on the Metric System because metric units are often used in math application problems.
This booklet, which includes over 350 test questions and answers, should be useful to a variety of students for many reasons:

- Students may want to evaluate their math skills prior to taking a high school entrance exam, a college placement exam, a GED exam or a Civil Service exam.

- Students who are planning to enroll in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Nursing, Nutrition, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science or Technology courses are encouraged to evaluate their skills prior to enrolling. Success, in these courses, is dependent on having the necessary math skills.

- Parents who are assisting their children with home instruction may want to assess their math skills.

Practice Tests and answers are available for all of the courses mentioned above. After completing one or more of these assessments, students will have an idea of what topics need further review. This booklet includes a reference to books published by this author that will assist in refreshing those skills. The test questions match directly to specific sections of these books which makes the review a little easier. However, students may use other materials.
