Description
I'll include here just a small part of one editorial review, for the poem Mother's Heart, included in this book of skillful, emotional poetry by Galina B. Nelson:
The relentless love and poignant longing: poem "Mother's Heart" by Galina B Nelson... Amidst the agony of separation, the speaker finds the solace and expression through poetry. Nelson beautifully captures the therapeutic nature of the written word, as a conduit for expressing love, care and hope. The poems become a means for the mother to communicate the unwavering affection and dedication to her daughters, even when physically distant.
Nelson skillfully portrays the intimate act of giving these poems to her children, knowing that they will read them and find solace in knowing that the love, hope and promises transcendent any physical distance.
Through her evocative verses, Nelson reminds us of the power of written word to bridge gaps and convey and enduring connection.
The special edition of the book "I Am Alive. The Climate Change and Other Natural Disasters." by Galina Nelson, is partially translated into the Russian Language by the Author for educational and cultural exchange purposes. The book also includes several poems by the Author and Russian Classics, such as A. S. Pushkin, translated voluntarily by the Author into English to demonstrate her translational skills and love for classical poetry.
A special comment about one of the poems - the song by the Russian bard Vladimir Semyonovich Vysotsky "I do not love": Galina Nelson translated it impromptu after watching the YouTube video where Vladimir Semyonovich expressed his will for the song to be translated into English properly, and it was the Author's honor to contribute to the Will. Whether it may become an official translation of the song or not, funs of the bard shall decide. The Author expressed her openness to translating more poems by Russian Authors into the English language, in her style, if there is a market for her skills.
The central part of the book is the poetry written by the Author, during the years 2012 - 2021, including the poem "The Grotto" for the inauguration of Mr. Trump in 2017, as part of her contribution to the movement Make America Great Again, and other poetry written by the Author as a reflection of her voluntarily travel while homeless/low income and love to her family, friends, and the USA people.
