Ten-year-old best friends Derrik and Jeb are used to hiking through the mossy forests of their Pacific Northwest island. But tonight, they find something they've never seen before: a hovering campfire with no wood, no fuel, and no one tending it.

At first they think it's homeless squatters or some weird propane trick. But as they creep closer, they realize the truth is far worse.
