When Jaime Menchen, a brilliant, Israeli cyber anti-terrorism genius retires after the death of his wife, he goes on a book-writing sabbatical in Jamaica, hoping a change of scenery will ease his grief.

He is shocked and alarmed when a mysterious stranger approaches him and tells him that unless he will design a major cyber warfare package for the man and his associates, they will kill all his family in the US and Israel.

The stranger puts a high-tech bracelet on his wrist to track his every move and if he tries to get help or remove it, one of hs family will die. Now subject to GPS and audio/digital monitoring, he still manages to send a message asking for help to the White House and they send their top security agents Jake and Sarah Harrigan to Jamaica, to help avoid a major cyberattack on the US power grid.

Jaime is only given a week to develop the package aimed at a complete winter blackout in a number of major US cities. As Jake and Sarah dig deeper, they are shocked to see who the bad guys are and they work desperately against the clock with Jaime and the White House to avoid a major embarrassment for the US and to plan a deadly retaliation against the hackers.
