Proving that a pen is more powerful than a weapon, he helped putting a stop to the inhuman festivities of open executings. His words provoke people to think deeply into their minds; back when the streets were full of starving men and bloodied guillotines, hangers' ropes, his works would have been shockingly empressing. The ability to see through the unjustness of it all, the ability to discern widely accepted violence itself is why Charles Dickens is remembered to be one of the greatest authors of all time. Tasteful wordplay and sarcasm that pierces the caste system of the rich and the poor, the ability to realize the sanctimonious violence of the highnesses; these are the main themes in his books, and as well as deepness his works are surprisingly full of humanness, joy and laughter also. The well-balanced, beautifully narrated and sarcastically described books of his portray the days of his life, straight from the voices of the ones who lived those ages. A writer whose books do not age, he had been a true author.
