Author comments:
This was my first standalone after writing the "Warfare of the Gods" Series, and it was a blast. I wanted something short and easy for readers to enjoy, but ensure it had plenty of heart. This pre-Viking era concept was right up my alley. Having fallen in love with such books as Lord of the Flies and Animal Farm as a young reader, I love writing books that aren't simply black and white, good vs. evil. I want readers to feel respected by providing what I hope are good stories, while also giving food for thought.
