Hudson
Anna Charlotte had some damn nerve. Storming around my bar and acting like she had a say in how I ran things? She could sit her curvy, cute butt on a stool and stew, but she couldn't utter a peep.
As if she could keep her thoughts to herself. She had an opinion about everything. And all of them said I was wrong.
I was losing my patience with the woman. If she wasn't careful, I was going to have to shut her up. There was only one way to do that. And it was damn effective.
Anna
Trust was a four-letter word. I'd been burned too many times in too many ways. Hudson was just another irresistible man who thought he knew what was best for everyone. But he didn't know what was best for me and my boys. Hudson wasn't their father.
Just because he gave my oldest a job... and helped my youngest study after school... and took care of me when I had a few too many drinks...
Hudson would show his true colors eventually. He would prove me right, like they all did.
Unless I was wrong about him, and he already proved who he was.
