Elizabeth Regan's herculean matchmaking efforts resulted in a spectacular fizzle. But as John-Luke and Brother Benedict watch with narrowed eyes, they are convinced there is black magic afoot and the evening takes a sharp turn from polite to perilous.

A messy biting incident leads to a legal threat that risks exposing everything -- leaving Darius no choice but to deal with the 'problem' the only way a gentleman of the night can.
