Description
Stanley Drake is tired of life. In a dull job, and living alone in a studio apartment, he has a distant relationship with his grown-up children, and a tepid one with his elderly mother.
After a violent incident in the street one lunchtime, he's sentenced to twenty hours of anger management therapy. Offered a radical new treatment, he's able to review the events that have brought him to his current disenchanted state.
Once inside his past, it all feels as real as normal life to him. He meets his first wife, Alice, who died at twenty-three, and the father he hardly remembers. As he relives his regrets, he begins to believe he's altering their outcome from within this fresh reality.
