Description
Temple Dogs.
This is the story of three homeless dogs who live for today, and today is that day!
Kwan, Maya, and Taow are three homeless dogs who make friends. They make a home in the ruined temples. They spend their day chasing rickshaws, running on beaches, swimming in waterfalls, and much, much more. At the end of the day , they curl together to fall asleep. They dream of the Legend of the Boatman, who cares for each dog like an owner. Their adventures continue as we follow the dogs on a journey out of this world!
Temple Dogs is an uplifting, rhyming story that explores the importance of friendships, love, and belonging. They wake each morning and fill their days and nights with as much as life can give them. Kwan, Maya, and Taow offer each other adventure, love, and fun.
This simple folk tale relates to the simple rhythm of life, which could be located anywhere in the world. The homeless dogs learn to cope and make the most of what life has given them. They eat, exercise, stay clean and maintain their joyful spirit every day and night. It is when they dream that we realise that they are able to transcend themselves to even greater joy.
These beautifully illustrated picture books with their ragged, broken rhymes are suitable for children aged between four to nine. A great bedtime read or as a classroom story to encourage discussions on animal kindness.
Follow them for just the one day and one night, with their simple beat of life again and again and again.
They may not have much; they may not need much, but they may want you!
