Description
The original HOWL, Copper Mountain College's Literary Magazine (although in 1996 when this was published we weren't yet our own college, just Copper Mountain Campus, but we had hope).
So, why HOWL? Well according to CMC Librarian Carolyn Hopkins, for a number of reasons. HOWL has a certain literary tradition, but primarily the choice was for expressing oneself. Webster's Third International dictionary has several definitions of howl: to cry out, sheik, wail, lament, utter nosily, exclaim with lack of restraint, a strong impulse feeling or emotion, something that provokes laughter. We are hoping you will do any and all of these. HOWL to the moon, the stars, the sand, the cactus, friends, family, the barking dog next door. But we'd like for you to HOWL to this literary magazine. Express yourself.
