A Personal Note from Alice Port
Hello my lovelies,
To celebrate the launch of my newest story -- My Husband Became a Bride -- I'm doing something a little special. For a limited time, all my previous books are completely free to download here on Amazon. Yes, free. No catches, no corset strings attached. Just a small thank-you to those of you who've supported my work quietly, courageously, or curiously -- wherever you may be on your own journey.
My Husband Became a Bride is a humorous, heartfelt tale set in Northampton about what happens when a stubborn husband, a forgotten mannequin, and a wedding expo collide. It's for anyone who's ever longed to slip quietly into something more feminine, or who's wondered what it might feel like to be seen -- truly seen -- even in the most unexpected of places.
Whether you're secretly browsing in the middle of the night, blushing as you click "Look Inside", or simply yearning for stories that speak to that soft, hidden part of you... I wrote this book with you in mind.
So go ahead -- explore, indulge, escape. Try one, try them all. And maybe, just maybe, find a little piece of yourself along the way.
With all my love (and a wink),
Alice x
?? P.S. If a story ever made you feel seen, I'd love to know -- your reviews mean the world to me.
In this coming of age story, set in the West Midlands, United Kingdom, Phillip Broad is a boy who has known for a while that he would rather be a girl. He knows that it's not a phase. His need to express his femininity tugs at something deep down within himself. Phillip longs to have long hair and wear dresses like mother and sister do. But he also wants to be treated like a girl and have others view him as one.
It is a complicated situation with no easy answers and it is made all the worse when Phillip's traditional father goads him into more masculine pursuits to make him into a man. Phillip tries his hand at football and rugby but nothing seems to work. He is more drawn to feminine activities like trying on makeup.
Phillip's mother, Anne though, is more supportive. She understands that her son is going through something that is difficult and wants the best for her child - even going to the extent of taking him to a psychiatrist to gain an insight into his condition.
So begins a complex dynamic at home with Phillip increasingly showing his feminine side - sometimes going by the name Justine - with the help of this mother, while Phillip's father showing his disgust at his new daughter. Eventually, something has to give and when it does will Phillip remain or will Justine stay?
