Description
For poetry, we oft delve in the deeper places of our psyche. We choose subjects that we may have difficulty addressing directly. We write around the subject, we use figurative language. Lindsey's poetry transcends the banal and commonplace, and actually gives us moments of grace. Each poem gives us a glimpse of what it may be like to be inside her skin. We are never more naked than when we write. Lindsey is Eve minus the fig leaves. Literature shows us the depth and range of the human condition, and in this small collection, with clarity and honesty, Lindsey Heatherly calls herself out, caught in the act of being human. - Doc Sigeron, Red Fez Magazine
