The Longhouse is an anthology of 15 of the best short stories and poems originally submitted and rejected for the first volume of the Passage Prize, edited by Participation Frog. Spanning numerous genres and styles, The Longhouse showcases some of the finest writers of our generation, including stained hanes, J. Neira, Noble Red, and many more.
"I've always been a writer, but the U.K. publishing world has become so woke that there was no place for me. When I heard about the Passage Prize, it was energising because it connected me to fellow creatives and also a potential readership. I entered in three categories and won third prize in the Poetry category. It was so rewarding to know that these guys felt I'd done good work. While waiting for the winners to be announced, I completed my debut novella Swimming at Sunset, and in June 2022, I self-published it via Amazon Kindle. I specifically wrote it for -- and as a tribute to -- the Passage Prize crowd. I had also entered the prize's Fiction category with the work I'm now happy to present here.
