Mail-order bride, Betsy, is lured to a small Montana town by a prominent rancher for immoral purposes. She shoots him with his pistol, wounding him, and runs away straight into a blizzard. Joel Becher spots her lying by the side of the road, suffering from serious wounds and hyperthermia and takes her home where he and his mother treat her injuries.
