REVISED SECOND EDITION WITH UPDATED CONTENT
Andrea June was given up by her family for adoption before she was two years old. She was in poor health at the time which meant she did not give a good first impression. Andrea was introduced to a family that already had two boys, one of them being severely handicapped. In spite of Andrea's health, this young family adopted her anyway, and changed her name to Kari Ellen.
Growing up was very difficult for Kari. She was not exactly what her new mom hoped for. Her father was sexually abusing her. By the time she was thirteen, her parents sent her away.
Peniel Christian School became Kari's home for the next five years. This non-profit school accepted troubled children from across the country and from every walk of life. Many were criminal gang members, others simply had ADHD.
Living on a seventy-seven acre farm in rural Wisconsin with forty other children promised many adventures. It was at Peniel that Kari accepted Jesus as her Savior, and recognized the need to forgive her dad.
Kari eventually met her husband Drew in Nashville, Tennessee. Since they wanted to have children, researching her family history began in earnest. They found adoption papers that led to startling information which dramatically changed her life forever.
It became evident that God's hand was personally at work in her past and for the future of many...
Kari Wiseman has spent many years writing her personal story. With her many mother-figures assisting in recalling and writing this book, together their hope and prayer is that A Daughter To Many will encourage others in the areas of forgiveness, courage, hope and faith.
