An unexpected loss can be difficult to explain to a young child, especially for grieving parents and caregivers.

The Kitten That Didn't Get To Say Goodbye is intended to be read to children 3 and up to help them process the loss of a loved one. It's the story of Rascal and Bandit, two very playful kittens. Rascal's life ends unexpectedly, and Bandit experiences feelings of loss and grief. Bandit learns that thinking about good memories can provide lasting treasures and comfort to a broken heart.

This book concludes with questions that encourage children to discuss memories of their loved one and prompts that will help them think of ways they can honor their loved one.
