Description
A strong marriage endures hardship. Right?
When Rett's husband Harry heads out West for a year, she takes on his home-husband role and more. Suspicion at her job lands on her, leaving her unemployed and under investigation. To survive, she moves the family back home to Stella Mare, and undertakes to create a homestead, complete with chickens, goats, and homeschooling. He's unreachable, and when Rett encounters a creepy neighbour the police who keep turning up, she's on her own, while Harry struggles to get out of the great north woods.
This third book in the Sisters of Stella Mare series revisits the Madisons and the charming Canadian seaside village of Stella Mare, this time focused on Rett and Harry, a long-married couple with three children and the inevitable dog. Older sister to Dorie and Evie, Rett held the family together through her mother's death, her father's recent illness, and is the one the sisters turn to. Rett's just not accustomed to needing help, and that can get a person in trouble.
Come home to Stella Mare with Rett, where her father gives advice, her sisters are ever helpful, and everybody knows her name. And her business.
