Description
Trusted Allies,
Island Nation is a mess. The supreme prime minister -- wielding power as grand as his hands are small -- has turned the school system over to politicians terrified of students with above-average hand size.
Now every student wears MegaCorp Frames: smart glasses that scan hand dimensions and sort students into "Bigs" and "Smalls." Translation: leaders and followers. Totally normal. Totally scientific.
Meanwhile, the country is deep in the Puddin' Head vs. Sweetie wars. No one remembers how it started, but let's just say that school rivalries now involve spoon defense drills, headbutting, cookie bombs, dynamite launchers -- and that's just the pregame show.
Enter Blaze Union -- 14, rising rock star, soccer phenom, slightly large hands, and, somehow, the nation's last hope. She didn't ask to take on corrupt schools, mass surveillance, or a culture actively fighting common sense. But here she is.
The stakes are high. I can't say more -- yet. For now, I watch in awe as Blaze's ambition collides with the chaos around her. As she says:
Spoons up!
