A Thought-provoking, Smiling Book

Is this book right for you? On the surface it's a short, Illustrated book that explores 5 philosophical thoughts. Imagine, then, that this is a portrait hanging in a gallery -- one you have seen before -- and you are about to spend 10 minutes looking at in a new way.

The visual arts teach us to look for the image behind the image -- not the tree without leaves -- but the cutout left after the foreground is removed. I think that life's key secrets are hidden from our minds in this way. All You'll Never Be: Because of Who You Arelooks at reality through this reversed perspective, seeking to understand the backgrounds that, often, shadow our lives.

For the Kindle and print editions, I created illustrations on every page. For the Audible edition, I wrote short musical melodies. Both the pictures and songs aim to remind us of the "vital importance of being" light-hearted when we are most "earnest". (I'm borrowing from one of my favorite writers, Oscar Wilde, as you have guessed, I'm sure.)

I hope you choose to look at your reflection anew. It is a vital question relevant to every human: Am I seeing a transposed image when I contemplate my myself in the mirror of my aspirations and dreams?
