Description
Darcy and Lizzy receive news that Lydia plans to move to London shortly. Her husband, Mr Wickham, is determined to become rich quickly in the glittering capital. Of course, Mr Wickham does not become rich and is soon dispatched to The Marshalsea, London's notorious debtors' prison.
Thinking that Darcy and Lizzy will (and indeed should) come to their aid, he dictates a letter for his wife to write and send to her sister. Darcy and Lizzy are in a quandary. They want to help but Darcy cannot forget Wickham's treatment of Georgiana, his dear sister. Furthermore they know that if they simply pay the debt, Wickham and Lydia will have learnt nothing.
They travel to London and visit Wickham and Lydia. Shocked by the melancholy state into which Lydia has fallen, they know something must be done. But what?
This is a funny and affectionate continuation of Jane Austen's beloved novel.
