Description
Cole Carson is an under-cover State deputy with more a grim duty to perform.
He has to find the killer of his brother Sheriff Mark Carson.
He enters Bendersville aware that the local law is crooked, but he needs more than knowledge to beat the set-up led by Town Marshal Reuben Klark.
Aided by the new sheriff Ed Jarrett, he works under-cover picking up snippets of the local gossip and questioning the old timers to get the lay of the land.
Carson has to call upon his own brand of lone-wolf law dealing, remaining in the background, facing odds and braving dangers from desperate men who have no intention of forsaking their lawlessness.
He starts his campaign in a tough way - and that's how he means to go on, beating an assassination attempt and foiling the abduction of an innocent woman.
The question is: how long can he fight the opposition without going down?
