Description
Discover vivid images of life's disappointments, unfulfilled promises, and gravitational pull towards the end.
Walk through the world of the dead, feel their sorrow, and taste their bitter demise.
Explore The Realm, meet its King and his subjects, and fear its unholy inhabitants.
In Letting Go is a collection of poems that explore the travails of life, the inevitability of death, and a fantasy realm where nothing is black and white. It's poetry that deals with aging, disappointment, war, suicide, grief, loss, and death.
Its first chapter focuses on life, the second on death, and the third, on a fantasy world filled with flawed characters who inhabit a realm where the gods aid the nobility and ignore the poor, while the realm of the dead threatens them all.
"Let stones fly about this place
Hearts on strings that end in miles of sadness
If we are to return
Then let the band begin to sound its tune
We shall dance
And the fall's coldness will whisk us away
The heart will be strong again
And the skies will end their gloom"
--from the poem, "Stones"
