Captain James Tiburon and his crew of the ship Beezles' North have been travelling the sea seeking all the treasure The Kingdom of the Nine Isles has to provide. They have successfully been avoiding the political dramas that come with the traditions of the kingdom, but that all changes when they help out an unknown woman who is on the run.

This new guest of their ship offsets their course at sea and alters the paths of their lives. This causes feuds amongst the members of Beezl'e North, especially due to the controversies of having a woman on board. Certain members of the crew are worried their captain is growing feelings for the woman who is causing the crew to gain unwanted attention from royal guards.

As they go on adventures that go beyond their usual treasure hunts, James struggles with the secrecy of the woman he has been protecting. With the more he learns will he continue to care for her, or decide she isn't worth the trouble?
