Description
Ryker Venges can barely remember the last time he felt human, separated from normal life by his left hand's tiger-like claws. The brutal metamorphosis has since transformed Ryker's arm and now encroaches upon his shoulder. Infamously known as the Bayou Bengal, Ryker's fear-inducing likeness is sketched on wanted posters throughout the parishes of Southeast Louisiana in the 1830s. For over a decade, he has sought refuge at sea as captain of the Conquest, a ship of scientific exploration, sailed by a crew of outcast creatures, each looking for answers while on the run from society.
Ryker embarks upon a global expedition in search of the Fountain of Youth with hopes that its legendary waters will halt his beastly progression and help others like him.
The Creatures of Conquest are sold into an underground trade of folkloric cryptids. There, they join a revolutionist goat-man's debilitated regime in toppling the oppressors of drought-ravaged Sierra Leone. Ryker must navigate between salvaging what remains of his humanity and realizing his destiny while defending his motley crew.
On one hand, humanity; the other, destiny.
