Wisdom: A Satirical Dictionary Approach seeks to indirectly reveal wisdom. While it boasts a broad spectrum of words, this is far from a typical dictionary. The definitions provided are satirical. Sarcasm and exaggeration are employed, along with a level of frankness that may prove shocking for some readers. The hope is to both amuse you and open you to new ways of seeing the world.

This book was inspired by Ambrose Bierce's famous satirical work, The Devil's Dictionary. It is Matt Williford's third book, and follows his highly-reviewed After A Million Quotes and 366 Notes To Myself.

Short positive statements used in an attempt to show our boss, the subconscious, who's boss.

CONCENTRATE, verb

The high level of expertise which has been achieved in something when one no longer has any chance of correctly assessing its importance relative to everything else.

OPEN-MINDED, adjective
So willing to consider that others may be right that we must find nonstandard ways of feeling superior.

PERFECT, adjective
Especially imbalanced.

PLAN, noun
A detailed proposal for accomplishing something which assumes that we can predict the future so well that its unclear why we dont propose something much grander instead.
